This food contains a low phosphorus content and a moderate level of high-quality protein to support renal function.

Adapted energy content

The adapted energy content of the formula allows for smaller portion sizes per meal, which can help compensate for a reduced appetite in some dogs.

Aromatic choice

This food features a specific aromatic profile to stimulate your dog's appetite – especially if they are refusing to eat. The kibble's special shape (round), size, and texture provide an additional stimulating effect.

This product is a veterinary diet from the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range. Consequently, it is important that this food is only fed on the recommendation of a veterinarian. This ensures that your pet receives exactly the nutrition they truly need. A transition to a new diet should be carried out carefully and gradually over a period of 7–10 days. Ensure the correct portion size – especially when mixed feeding.

Mixed feeding possible
To cater to the individual preferences of all dogs, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is also available as a wet food with fine chunks in gravy or a soft mousse texture, as well as Renal and Renal Select dry foods with kibbles in various shapes, textures, and aromatic profiles.* Mixed feeding provides different textures, which can stimulate the appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma and its moisture content helps regulate the animal's water balance. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to pick up and is good for the teeth.
